It’s been 8 weeks since Balto’s FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) surgery, and he has been absolutely crushing his recovery From day one, he’s shown nothing but determination, resilience, and that classic husky spirit.

So what does life look like after FHO?

Dogs go on to live happy, pain-free lives—running, playing, and soaking up every moment of being a dog again

Balto is hard at work rebuilding his strength and mobility (and shining like a superstar on the underwater treadmill ). Every day, he continues to impress everyone lucky enough to know him and the best part?

He’s an absolute dream dog—ready to bring love, laughter, and a whole lot of joy into his forever home

Balto is fantastic with dogs, cats, and kids—making him an easy fit for many different types of homes. He’s both housetrained and crate trained, and he walks well on leash… especially for a husky He’s also been learning some fun tricks with his foster, showing off just how smart and eager to please he is!
